I’m going to continue on the theme of car insurance coverage this week as we look at two more coverage types which are Uninsured Motorist and deductibles.
I spoke to a group of realtors last week. What does a car insurance policy in Texas cover? That can vary from person to person. There is, however, one type of coverage every car insurance policy within Texas must have, and that is liability coverage. Over the next few weeks, we’ll take a look at the different types of coverage available on car policies in Texas, as well as, some discounts you should be aware of. We’ll first start with liability coverage.
I was in my first earthquake over the Labor Day weekend. For the past few years, Sheri’s family has rented a cabin in Davis, Oklahoma for Labor Day weekend. It’s a great time to get away, be together, cook for each other, and watch too much football. I slept through the 5.8 magnitude earthquake which was felt in north Texas all the way north to Illinois. It didn’t cause too much damage to our Oklahoma neighbors, but it provides a great backdrop to revisit home insurance and earthquake coverage.
In the past week, I’ve had two conversations with two different clients. Both clients were involved in accidents where they were hit by the other driver; one was rear ended by a commercial vehicle and the other was struck by a car that changed multiple lanes in order to attempt making the exit. The question both clients asked was the same, “How should they file their car insurance claim?”
