What’s your guess for the car that is number one in getting ticketed the most? A bright red or black sports car such as a Nissan 350Z, Audi TT, or BMW M Series? Maybe an exotic like a Lamborghini, Ferrari, Lotus, or McLaren? Perhaps a more common Mazda M5, Camaro, Mustang, or Corvette? If any of these cars were your top pick, you’d be wrong.
It turns out the most ticketed vehicle in America is what some people would consider proper, sensible, or even conservative. It’s the Lexus ES 300. Surprised?! According to an article that appeared on Forbes.com and authored by insurance.com, a third of all Lexus ES 300 owners admitted to being ticketed at least once for a moving violation.
Second and third place “winners” in this auspicious category are the Nissan 350Z and the Dodge Charger SE/SXT, two vehicles you’d expect to be winners in the most ticketed contest. Here’s a list of the 20 most ticketed vehicles:

Lists like these are fun, I enjoy reading and sharing them! But to appropriate a NRA bumper sticker, cars don’t get speeding tickets, drivers do. It’s the human driver that “earns” the moving violations even though some cars do attract more attention than others from the men and women in Blue.
As an insurance advisor, I would be remiss if I didn’t say, don’t speed, obey the traffic laws, etc. It has been about 15 years since I received not one, but two moving violations in the span of 10 minutes after exiting I-45 to head to College Station to celebrate a son’s birthday. If you end up in a situation like that, take the defensive driving lesson. Yes, it’s boring and mind numbing, but it will keep your car insurance rate from rocketing up!
