My Word for 2018

Welcome to 2018! I hope you had a wonderful Holiday Season and New Year! Sheri and I spent the weekend with friends, as we’ve done the past few years. It was a wonderful time preparing food for each other, watching a movie (Baby Driver), and a lot of football. Prior to hanging out with our friends, I took some time to think about 2018 and what I envision personally and professionally for this year. I haven’t made a single resolution though and here’s why.

Christmas has come and gone. Presents have been unwrapped and the leftovers from the ham or turkey, cookies, and pies are being consumed. New Year’s Day is next week and the commercials for losing weight, smoking cessation, and gym memberships play during all the shows on TV. At this time, many people’s thoughts turn to New Year’s resolutions and how to live life better.

New Year’s Resolutions 2013

?Christmas is over. The decorations are put away, the tree dropped off at Home Depot for recycling, and 2013 has arrived. If you watched any TV in the past 48 hours you probably noticed a lot of commercials about weight loss and quitting smoking, two of the more popular resolutions every year. Many people make resolutions prior to ringing in the New Year. Other’s don’t make resolutions and argue we should set goals and objectives instead. My belief is whichever method works for you is the right one!
