What’s your guess for the car that is number one in getting ticketed the most? A bright red or black sports car such as a Nissan 350Z, Audi TT, or BMW M Series? Maybe an exotic like a Lamborghini, Ferrari, Lotus, or McLaren? Perhaps a more common Mazda M5, Camaro, Mustang, or Corvette? If any of these cars were your top pick, you’d be wrong.
I met with a client earlier this week for coffee at a Starbucks in Frisco. One of the topics she wanted to discuss was her and her husband’s umbrella insurance policy. Her two questions were did they have enough coverage and what factors influenced the policy’s rate. I thought they were excellent questions and should be addressed as separate posts in our blog.
About two weeks ago, Cecilia Abadie of Temecula, California, was issued a speeding ticket by a California Highway Patrolman. That’s not unusual, but what followed may be the first ticket of its kind in the country. The CHP officer noted Abadie was wearing Google Glass and gave her a second ticket which is usually reserved for drivers who may be distracted by a video or TV screen.
