One of the questions I’m asked by realtors, mortgage originators, and home buyers is what do I think the home insurance is going to cost
A client sent me an email last week stating he has a roof leak in his north Texas home which was probably caused by hail.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with a number of Dallas / Fort Worth area business owners with their commercial car and truck insurance. We’ve written cars, pickup trucks, cherry pickers, and even cement mixers. It’s always interesting to determine what insurance company will provide the best coverage and the best rate.
Flood insurance popped up on the national news feeds in late March of this year. The Biggert-Waters Flood Reform Act of 2012 (BW-12) went into effect in October of 2013 impacting home and business owners along coastal areas of the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean, as well as in the Missouri River Basin (see http://50.87.248.161/~wiseinsu/flood-insurance-reform-act-of-2012/).
More people are buying new cars as we continue to see the U.S. economy slowly improving. These new car buyers are replacing older cars that they’ve driven longer. Another factor that’s helped people move forward with new car purchases are the low interest rates we’ve enjoyed the past several years.
