Thanksgiving Gratitude

Thanksgiving is almost here, and this year seems to have flown by more quickly than last year. Whether you’re headed somewhere to be with people, preparing for an influx of relatives, or spending a relaxing and quiet day on the couch watching football, I hope this year has been a good one for you too!

Before we kick off the frenzy of the Christmas shopping season with all the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales I’d like to take a share with you what I’m grateful for both personally and professionally.

Family: Sheri and I are standing pat, for the time being, with grandchildren! They are a joy and a blessing to us as watching our adult children embrace life as parents, students, spouses and professionals. It’s truly wonderful to see our kids become who they are and see the next generation take on life’s challenges.

Backpacking: Sheri and I continue to backpack and camp. These weekend getaways or summer vacation provide a wonderful time to ground ourselves, connect with each other, disconnect from work, and relax. Being in nature and enjoying its beauty helps us regain perspective and see what’s truly important.

Friends: Our friends are essentially an adoptive family for us. Our circle of friends has grown a little and our relationships with longtime friends is even deeper. They provide great counsel, make life’s journey richer and share the burden when times are tough!

Growth: Wise Insurance Group continues to grow, month after month, and year by year. This growth is due to our clients sharing what we do with their family and friends, and several business partners who share us with their clients. Over 95% of our business is referred to us which is speaks to the three simple beliefs that continue to guide us.

  • People are more important than transactions
  • Provide people the information to make informed decisions in their best interest
  • Treat people the way they want to be treated and the business will follow

Partners: We’ve expanded the number of carriers and brokers we work with which gives us more options for our clients and prospective clients insurance needs. It’s an exciting time as we get to know the strengths of each new partner and deepen our relationships with longtime ones. The companies we partner with are the ones we use to protect our friends’ homes, cars, families and businesses, as well as, our own. My belief is if we wouldn’t recommend them to a close friend or one of our kids, we won’t do business with them.

Journey: No one can do life alone, whether as an individual or business owner. The success of our company is dependent on having the right people who understand the importance of our clients and meeting their needs. Gail Barham continues to provide a leadership role in quoting new business, remarketing client’s policies, and providing excellent service when needs change. I’m adding another person in December who’ll help with the administrative duties of our firm, as well as, assisting Gail in remarketing client policies. I’m looking forward to Jill coming on board and grateful for her and Gail’s experience, knowledge, and attitude.

What are you thankful for? Take a moment to share it with me on our Facebook, Google + or LinkedIn pages. I’d love to hear from you!

Happy Thanksgiving!
